SEPA bank transfer at Monro
This is the most conservative rail in the Monro cashier and, for anyone who has spent years living inside an internet bank, the most familiar. A plain euro SEPA payment from Swedbank, SEB, Citadele or Luminor is accepted: EUR 25 minimum, credited within one business day, with the return leg taking 1-3 business days. Every other rail is compared on the payments page.

Why SEPA behaves predictably
SEPA is the single euro payments area, and Latvia sits inside it. Within that zone a transfer between European accounts follows one rulebook, in one currency, with no conversion anywhere along the path. For a player that translates into predictability: the amount you send arrives whole, and the only variable is the banking calendar rather than a processor deciding how it feels today.
The channel earns its place in two situations — when the sum is large enough that you want it recorded in an official bank statement, and when a card is unavailable or blocked for online gambling merchants. For small quick top-ups it is overkill; open banking does that job better.
Depositing step by step
- Open the Monro cashier and choose the bank transfer method; the current beneficiary details appear on screen.
- Copy the IBAN, the beneficiary name and the payment reference straight from the cashier, not from an old template.
- Build a new euro payment in your internet bank for at least EUR 25.
- Put the exact identifier issued by the cashier into the reference field — that string is what matches the payment to your account.
- Confirm with Smart-ID and wait for the credit, normally within one business day.
Beneficiary details change from time to time, which is ordinary practice for payment providers. A saved payment template in your bank therefore turns into a liability: the money leaves for an outdated account and has to be traced manually. The rule is simple — pull fresh details from the cashier before every deposit.
Withdrawing to a bank account
- Select the bank transfer in the cashier and enter the IBAN of your own account.
- The account holder name has to match the name on the gaming account; this is not negotiable.
- The minimum is EUR 20, the daily ceiling EUR 5,000 and the monthly ceiling EUR 20,000.
- The request passes internal cashier review of up to 12 hours.
- Then the banking route takes over: 1-3 business days until the money lands.
The IBAN must belong to the account holder. A transfer to a spouse, a parent or a friend will not go through: anti-money-laundering rules require funds to return to the person who put them in. The same logic explains why a payout defaults to the method used for the deposit. Before the first release the account is verified once with an eID card or passport, a proof of address no older than three months and a proof of payment method, with review taking 24-48 hours.
Amounts and timings at a glance
| Operation | Minimum | Timing | Operator fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deposit | EUR 25 | Up to 1 business day | None |
| Withdrawal | EUR 20 | 1–3 business days | None |
Latvian banks normally charge nothing for a standard SEPA payment inside the euro area, or a token amount under their own tariff — that is a question for your bank rather than for the casino. Because both the account and the cashier operate in euro, there is no conversion at either end of the journey.
The banking calendar is the main source of delay
SEPA lives on business days. A payment sent late on Friday enters processing on Monday, and public holidays behave the same way. That is why a transfer that appears stuck is almost always a weekend rather than lost money. Large payouts are best scheduled for the start of the week, and if funds are needed urgently over a weekend, crypto or a wallet will get there first.
SEPA versus Trustly: the same bank, two routes
Both channels use the identical bank account, but they reach it differently. Trustly is open banking — you authorise inside your internet bank directly from the cashier, confirm with Smart-ID, and the balance updates instantly while the return leg arrives in 1-2 hours. SEPA is a payment order you compose yourself, moving along the ordinary interbank track.
| Parameter | SEPA transfer | Trustly |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | EUR 25 | EUR 20 |
| Credit time | Up to 1 business day | Instant |
| Payout | 1–3 business days | 1–2 hours |
| Who enters the details | You, by hand | The bank, automatically |
| Works at weekends | No | Deposit yes, payout delayed |
The practical conclusion: for everyday top-ups Trustly is faster and cheaper in effort, while SEPA remains a sound choice for larger amounts and for anyone who wants a bank statement line with a reference number attached to it.
